Carl Doozan applied architectural, planning and creative skills throughout a 30+ year career in the Tampa Bay area. He owned an architectural firm specializing in commercial/medical offices, religious architecture and residential projects. Working with numerous clients, churches and homeowners, Carl refined his listening ability to interpret the primary needs of a project. Meeting client needs in practical, thoughtful ways has always been his goal and the motivation behind his work.
In 2006, Carl semi-retired to the mountains of north Georgia and began to invest in residential and commercial developments. While there, he gained valuable experience designing for mountainous terrain and cooler climate. He was later drawn to Greenville, South Carolina and relocated in 2011. Carl enjoys the process of designing homes for unique sites or bringing new life to time-worn structures. Regional differences in design, materials and topography have provided an ever expanding portfolio of styles. He assists builders or homeowners with skillful planning, problem solving and creativity.
Carl and his wife, Judy, have home educated four children. They maintain active participation in church communities and enjoy marriage enrichment retreats, parenting studies, mentoring, and life- long learning. They believe the essence of a good home can be achieved under any roof. Just as the contents of a container may be of more value than the container, the ingredients of a home are of more value than the structure. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it." Psalm 127.
